Intensive Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced disruption to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.

Area administrators said the city endured heavy assaults overnight. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks follow nights of air raids in the area, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

He said utility staff and officials were preparing for further attacks.
